My little sweetheart
can I rest
with you?
Not for keeps
but just
a little while?
Let us play
and laugh
the night through.
When sun
comes back again
we’ll part.
My little sweetheart
can I rest
with you?
Not for keeps
but just
a little while?
Let us play
and laugh
the night through.
When sun
comes back again
we’ll part.

Love is a treasure whether it lasts a day or a lifetime, it is all treasured.

I so agree! And I never stop loving someone, once I start, even if they stop. I just can’t.

Breakups must be horrible for you then.

Well yes and no…I always try to keep the person in my flock, in my life…usually helps

You must be very strong to be able to love so much, even when things don’t work out.
I’ve been in a bit of social isolation because of my mental health for the last few years, think I probably lost some friends because of it.
Last week I emailed two old friends to see if we could call for a bit and maybe I could repair some of the damage done by me neglecting social things for a long time. Unfortunately, they haven’t emailed back (yet) and I’m a bit disappointed. One of them was a friend I knew from the time I was 4 or 5 but we kept in contact all through highschool and college… Really hope that friendship isn’t lost after all those years. Sorry if I’m oversharing.

I hope they make contact! And I’d like to be your friend! Perhaps we already are?

Love to be friends. I’m a bit short on friends at the moment too, because of the, a bit self-imposed, social isolation last few years, though it’s not like people contacted me.

How do we make contact?

Depends on if you want to contact through text or if you want to speak with your voice. We could use Skype or Discord for voice and twitter, reddit, email or comments (or the text options of Skype/Discord) for text.

Thanks! You too! If I can ask, what about the poem spoke to you?

Simple the words, deep the meaning.
I love the introduction, the first three lines. They brought me memories of a beloved one, who used to write poetry.
